Fondazione Bruno Kessler
Fondazione Bruno Kessler was created in 1962 and strives for scientific excellence, innovation and technology transfer to companies and public entities. FBK's primary activities are centred upon advanced computer science, microelectronics, physics, mathematics and human sciences.
FBK are the project coordinators and contribute their research expertise in the areas of mobile-based computer vision, Machine Learning, Augmented Reality, 3D object analysis, 3D modelling using photogrammetry, 3D data generation and 3D content delivery. Two particularly challenging aspects of research will be multidimensional object analysis/decomposition and the creation of a user guidance strategy based on Machine Learning to obtain optimal coverage during capturing campaigns.
FBK will also focus strongly on the realization of technology demonstrators, to seek further valorisation opportunities of the project’s research outcomes through its territorial and national channels. FBK enjoys a very close relationship with its local community. A large proportion of REPLICATE’s outcomes will be fed directly back into local businesses for commercial product development and social exploitation.
