First consortium publication presented
at the 7th International Workshop 3D ARCH

From the 1st to the 3rd of March, the 7th International Workshop
'3D ARCH - 3D Virtual Reconstruction and Visualization of Complex Architectures' was held in the beautiful city of Nafplio, Greece.

3D ARCH is a series of successful events organized by two international societies, the 'International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS)'

The main topics of the workshop focused on 3D reconstruction, modelling and VT/AT applications for visualization and conservation of complex architectures and heritage.

It represented the perfect scene to present the REPLICATE first-year results.
The speech, discussing the paper entitled ‘A smartphone-based 3D pipeline for the creative industry' – the Replicate EU project, was followed by a demo.

The demo showed, in real time, the best frame selector app, SfM server and point cloud editing app running on a mobile phone.
The audience revealed great interest, and many are looking forward to using the REPLICATE tools.
