Wikitude

Wikitude is contributing with its AR platform, the Wikitude SDK, and its expertise in tracking, computer vision and machine learning. The main challenges for Wikitude are in the 3D reconstruction of objects from mobile images directly on the mobile device and in real-time. In addition they are trying to determine object properties (such as scale, texture, illumination) for a seamless integration of the virtual 3D object into AR environments. Wikitude is also working to create an AR co-creativity space where users can visualize and interact with virtual elements in a real environment.

Wikitude is involving its partner network and extensive user base to support the creation process as well as the usability testing and validation through demonstrators. REPLICATE results will address developers and users from the creative sector and beyond as the developed technologies and tools can be applied to other industrial or consumer use cases.
